RLUSD Loans Are Now Live

RLUSD is now live as a loan payout option on Lantern.

If you've been asking for it (and a lot of you have), it's here. Ripple's dollar-pegged stablecoin joins USDC as the second stablecoin you can receive your loan in. Same rates, same process.

How to receive your payout in RLUSD

At the loan payout step, select stablecoin and then choose RLUSD. Then pick your network: Ethereum or XRPL.

That's the whole flow.

You can borrow RLUSD against any supported crypto asset on Lantern Finance, not just XRP.

One thing to know

Paying interest or principal in RLUSD isn't available yet. Bank wire and USDC are still your options for payments. RLUSD for payments is coming soon.

We'll announce it as soon as it's ready.

Why this matters for XRP borrowers

A lot of Lantern borrowers hold XRP as collateral and already use RLUSD day-to-day. Before this, receiving your loan meant converting to USDC or dealing with fiat.
