New Payment Method Added: Plaid

Hey Lantern Community,

We're excited to announce a major upgrade to your Lantern experience! Starting July 1st, you can make interest payments directly through your dashboard using Plaid.

Bank Account Payments via Plaid

• Secure bank connection through industry-standard Plaid integration

• One-time or recurring payments - set it and forget it

• Consolidated payments for multiple loans or individual loan payments

• Instant confirmation and real-time balance updates

How It Works

For Bank Account Payments:

Step #1: Log in to your Lantern dashboard and click on "Manage" for the specific loan you want to pay interest on

Step #2: Click on "Make Payment" to begin the payment process.

Step #3: Connect bank account with Plaid

Step #4: Choose whether to do recurring payments or one-time, and pay

Step #5: Make your payment and watch your balance update within a few minutes

Note: Principal repayments will continue to require wire transfers or ACH due to higher processing fees

Pay interest across all your loans in one transaction - perfect for borrowers with multiple active loans.

Individual Loan Payments

Prefer to manage each loan separately? Click into any active loan and make payments on a loan-by-loan basis.
