Announcing Non-Custodial Staking!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Lantern's new non-custodial ETH staking offering! This is available to clients in all 50 US states. Non-custodial staking provides you with greater control over your assets while continuing to benefit from access to earning staking rewards.

What is Non-Custodial Staking?

With non-custodial staking, you can keep crypto in your self-custody wallet (e.g., Metamask, Ledger, Coinbase Wallet, etc.), and simply "Connect Wallet" within Lantern to stake. One caveat to note however, is that with non-custodial staking, you will need to stake a minimum of 32 ETH. Because you retain full custody of your assets, 32 ETH is the minimum amount needed to spin up a validator and start staking on the Ethereum network.

Key Features of Non-Custodial Staking:

• Lower Staking Fees: Non-custodial staking fees start at 8% of staking rewards compared to 15% for the custodial offering. • Complete Control: Users who opt for non-custodial staking will have complete control over their private keys and digital assets at all times, eliminating the need to trust any 3rd party custodian.

• Transparency: Because you own each validator, you will have a clear view into the staking process, including rewards accumulation, staking & unstaking timelines, and more through the Lantern dashboard.

Getting Started

To take advantage of our new non-custodial staking offering, simply follow these steps after creating your account, completing KYC/KYB, and logging in to your Lantern Finance account:

1. Click on the Non-Custodial tab

2. Connect your wallet, which will unlock the "Stake" button

3. Click "Stake"

4. Determine how many validators (units of 32 ETH) you'd like to stake
